Why is a Preconception Plan Important?

How the Process Works

  1. Consultation

A comprehensive consultation assessing your concerns, symptoms and medical history

  1. Diagnostic Tests

Core bloods can be done in person at Randox labs and Advanced diagnostic tests are sent to your home

  1. Results Analysis

Results are analysed in UK accredited laboratories

  1. Report

Your results are interpreted and a bespoke plan is issued detailing action points and next steps

  • Better health before pregnancy means an increased likelihood of a healthy pregnancy, healthy baby and better long term health for both

  • Care is early enough to make a difference before organ development takes place, which can begin as early as 3 weeks and can be complete by 12 weeks. (Standard antenatal appointments are usually at 10 weeks when prenatal care is too late to make a difference to the pregnancy)

  • Medications can be changed to more appropriate options that carry lower risk for the pregnancy before baby development happens

  • Get specialist referrals before pregnancy to manage pre existing medical conditions

  • Identify risks and manage them appropriately before pregnancy takes place
